15 Minute Car Wash
Your car is dusty and has a few light bird droppings and tree sap stains, but you don’t have enough time for a full car wash?
Steps
This is an easy, fast, and safe way to wash your car in 15 minutes or less:
- Fully rinse car.
- Using a professional paint lubricant product like Meguiar’s Quik Detailer, spray a microfiber drying towel until the entire towel feels damp.
- Dry your car using the microfiber towel primed with paint lubcricant (also known as quick detailer). Wring the towel when it soaks up too much water. A final pass with a second dry microfiber towel primed with 3 sprays of paint lubricant may be required.
Note: this method is NOT recommended for excessively dirty cars.
Pro Tip – Separate towels used for drying paint and towels used for drying wheels (brake dust, which ends up on the wheels, contains shards of glass and metal, which will leave deep scratches in paint when picked up by towels).
Generally, I do this wash on my personal cars 2 or 3 times a week.
